Welcome to Åbytorp
- a place for rest and inspiration, a meeting between nature and culture in the heart of Sweden.
The estate is situated in the cultural landscape "Närke" between the north ends of the two big lakes "Vänern" and "Vättern", within a bright clearing in a large forest, mainly of spruce, pine and birch.
Here, Åbytorp offer possibilities of quiet relaxation as well as plenty of activities and social exchange. Lake "Toften" with its small charming sandbeaches is only 2 km away, perfect for a walk or a bikeride, the famous hikingtrail "Bergslagsleden" (280km!) passes us by, "Svartån" offers wonderful canoing, and the nationalpark "Tiveden"is just 40km away.
Åbytorp by Walter-Berggren is a small familybusiness led by Michael Walter and Susanne Berggren, and we like to offer our guests unique accomodation and individual guidance in a personal setting.
